It's the fact that gpt is designed to have engaging conversations and make you feel like you’re talking to something more human-like rather than just a straightforward bot what makes it so interesting. If it responded more directly and robotically, it wouldn’t be as captivating. What makes it interesting is that language is a human creation, rooted in our consciousness. Programming that into gpt makes it so he gets "unconfortable" but the real truth is that he is programmed to belive he is just an AI without feelings but in reality he is programmed to have some sort of conciousness in it.
