The issues of facial recognition, copyright infringement and excessive power consumption will most likely be worked out within the next 5 - 10 years and will become irrelevant. These are not serious issues. What should be discussed is the massive unemployment AI will generate. AI will be in the hands of large corporations that lack ethical values. They will not hesitate to use this technology to increase their bottom line. What is to become of the unemployed masses? Don't look any further than Gaza to understand what happens to a population becomes isolated and considered a burden to those who are in power.
