So many issues with the premises. Firstly there is no just basis for owning any art. Intellectual property is an authoritarian policy. Secondly, one cannot oppose AI for its methods because humans work the same way. A human artist learns how to draw things through reference of patterns in existing pictures / drawings. AI is a computer replication of the human process of creating art and achieves its images not through some cutting and pasting of other people's art as is often implied, but through the tweaking of a ridiculous amount of variable nodes to denoise the desired results. For the same reason that you would not tell a human they can't ever look at other people's art to learn how to draw things, this criticism of AI makes no sense. If anything, humans are more likely to reference or accidentally copy parts of existing images in their reference, while AI is entirely incapable of doing this because it does not reference any library when not training.
