It makes no sense. Typing an AI prompt is a completely different action/process from creating art. The most direct equivalent would be commissioning an artist to make something based on a description. Just because you end up with a result in your hand in both cases does not make the process comparable, and does not mean YOU made it or are the artist in both scenarios.
Just because I describe a table that I want in great detail to my uncle and he builds it for me, doesn't make ME a carpenter. If there was a 3D printer large enough to print such a table, and I gave AI the same description and it made a same or similar table, that STILL doesn't make me a carpenter.
There is NO SUCH THING as an AI artist. There are AI commissioners, period.
