For me, the most breathtakingly stupid part here is "I thought it was telling the truth, because I asked it 'are these cases real?' and it said yes"...
Even if you've been misled into thinking that ChatGPT is an infallible machine, how can you be a functioning human - let alone one in a profession that's all about establishing truth from unreliable sources - and think that's how it works?!
