Wasn’t sure why people were calling it immoral. This makes sense now. At the end it isn’t AI art as a concept, just what people are doing with it. As someone who I don’t think would mind if my art was used this way, even I agree that it should be opt-in. That, or the AI shouldn’t perfectly store any one piece (similar to how humans can’t mentally do that). Even so it seems slippery. I hope this all gets resolved soon.
Oh, and if someone trained an AI off of my art then tried making money off of it I’d feel cheated and insulted for sure.
