I really like your videos, but idk how I feel about this. AI is an expensive endeavor, companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to train AI models, and make AI that’s designed to generate models quickly and on the fly. The idea that an artist should make money for *one* of their images being used out of *tens or hundreds of thousands* of images that are used to train the ai seems ludicrous. It also feels like there’s a fundamental misunderstanding at how AI works. An Ai is not so much using art to make art *based* on the art, but using the art as a grading tool. Instead of a room of monkeys tracing your art until they can learn how to make art without the trace, it’s more like a room of monkeys randomly drawing things with an instructor comparing it to someone else’s art until they learn how to make good art compared to the original. This process takes a huge amount of computing power that is extremely expensive to maintain and create. With that said, I can understand artist being upset, but I don’t think demanding royalties when individual art makes up a fraction of the total pool of art being used that’s so small, the amount they’d get in royalties is less than what you’d spend trying to sue them for royalties
