I think the only people panicking here are actually "real artists". The tone of this video is just pure cringe. Not mentioning that it didn't age well. Disney actually uses ai oficially now and the lawsuit will probably just not take place if it's not cancelled already. I am an artist myself, working in the industry and employing other artists for 15 years now. When i review portfolios, maybe 10% of them are actually original artworks. The rest is just copy of a copy of a copy. Half of the industry has the same "style" and even aim for it. Sometimes looking at the ai slop it seems more creative than what i review in portfolios. AI itself isnt a problem as technology. The problem is how people use it. And unfortunately it is very natural for human beeings to seek attention and approval. Before ai people copied artworks/styles of others to get a few likes on social media. Now AI makes it faster and easier and accesible to the ones who don't draw and don't want to learn it. It is really funny when i see a big sign "no to AI" on someones instagram and when i look at their "art" it is mostly popular copyrighted characters drawn hundreds of times, or artworks/stylee that are currently popular. I personally encourage all artists that i work with to learn generative ai and how it works because most of them just judge it by a few popular AI apps/websites. And i dont mean "just promot what you want". I mean understand how it works, how to create your own models, how to find and use helpful ai tools etc. - basically don't be ignorrant. Another topic is that most of the society don't care about the art so for them it doesn't matter if the artwork on the toiletpaper is human made or ai made. There is many people that even enjoy the ai aesthetics. Jazz musicians often don't even listen to pop music and they think it is bad, but most of population listens to POP not JAZZ. Same thing here. For artists ai generated graphics are cringe, for most of people it doesn't matter.
