As a supporter of AI and a data scientist, I feel weird for this wave of "AI-enthusiasts". They want to have AI to do all the things they cannot do well, even if it harms other people means of living. If anything, AI is supported to be a tool, not a replacement. It is ethically wrong to just say accept and adapt. Look at the industrial revolution for agriculture, farmers did not simply protest in vain and then adapt. It ends with political movement for institutional changes that eventually leads to now where farmers use industrial tools for their day-to-day, which I feel we are heading to the same direction here. Laws always are behind the current situation so I don't expect this case to get better at least in 2-3 years.
