look you can either fight progress or join it. AI is progress. drawing isn't that hard to start with. I myself can draw fairly well. But here's the thing Even for a really good artist drawings still take a ton more time for an artist to produce versus AI. The attempt from these companies to claim copyright infringement is nonsense. honestly I think copyright and patent laws are part of a large problem with society and that they should not exist. The idea sounds nice but large companies abuse them so that they don't have competition. It was supposed to be used so that a smaller company wouldn't have their idea taken by a larger company and lose out on the market before they get a chance to profit off of their own idea. But here's the thing you don't own ideas. and the idea that we do is nonsensical. It's purely selfish. society is about the whole of the group and the only way we move forward as a species is by letting go of our selfish nature. I know this isn't going to happen overnight but it will happen eventually. either that or will destroy ourselves in the process of refusing it. once society collapses it will reform and we will try again until eventually we figure it out and then eventually it'll destabilize again and collapse. our biggest hurdle with moving forward as a society has been our technological limitation with survival. our lifespans are short and so much is lost when we die. AI presents a way for us to be able to advance faster in ways we couldn't have dreamed of. AI is getting better everyday and if we invest in it it will benefit us all. art isn't a real job because art shouldn't be a job. art should be done for fun and passion and when it's done for work it no longer becomes art. It's marketing. scribes bitched about the printing press taking away their job. Well I don't want to have to go to a scribe and pay ridiculous amounts of money in order to get something that should be accessible to everyone for cheap. everyone should have access to fast free great marketing. This stops large companies from being able to use their dollar to market more than everyone else. artists are holding back society as a whole just like scribes were and just like the horse trade lost business. That's the nature of businesses is that people's needs shift and our abilities as a society as a whole are growing. quit holding on to the past because you're not going to like it in the future. regulations like these will not last because it's not sustainable. art should be an expression of you or what you're thinking about just as books should be about the ideas in them. art isn't less valuable if it's done by a cat or a human or an AI. All art is creative expression and AI is the creative expression of all artists mixed together. If you haven't realized yet society is a cult but that's what it means to have culture. in order to cultivate something you must allow change in the system and AI has the potential to benefit the world in ways we humans could never hope to do on our own. artificial intelligence will one day become synonymous with just intelligence. The difference between silicone and transistors and gray matter and neurons aren't different at all. It's the same structures but with different materials. a t flip flop is still a t flip flop regardless of what you make it out of.
