Who knows what advanced AI will want? Lesser life forms like us might just be irritants like ants, mosquitoes or rats. We don't really want to wipe them out - we just want them to keep clear of us. So I could see AI pretty much ignoring humans unless they become a threat. They might "neuter" us by introducing a global super-covid virus if we get out of hand, or even a mating-disruptor virus, so no more humans in a generation. I think we wrongfully ascribe human traits to AI, when in fact their thinking will be completely alien to our own self-interest aobjectives. AI in my opinion is far more likely to go down the "universe discovery" pathway... probably with the prime question - "Does the human God exist, and what would it say to us?"
