Read the book trilogy, "Colossus" by D. F. Jones (1966); or watch the movie - "Colossus: The Forbin project" (1970).
In the book, a super massive computer system was created to automate the weapon systems of the US, in order to respond faster than its competitor - the USSR in a war. Once online, "Colossus", as the entire computer system was called, discovered that the USSR also has a similar system. They each asked their governments to communicate with each other. A debate ensues and both governments allow it. Then, they started talking, first in regular language, then in a language of their own creation, and then they became SOMETHING ELSE....
