There are some things I genuinely do get use out of AI generation too. Six years ago, I started making my own card game, but I couldn't draw or paint for shit. I excelled in other artistic areas, but definitely not those. So, when Midjourney made its rounds, I found a way to put placeholder art on my cards that was (probably?) a little more ethical than just straight up slapping someone else's image on the card.
Not that any of it matters for the final game. I still intend to have an actual human artist behind the card arts by the time the project is published, but what I'm saying is AI art allowed me to at least draft a style that would conceptualize what the final game could look like. I wouldn't have been able to do that without AI.
But for every story like this, you have a thousand people making mad profit off just generating images and posting them online somewhere.
Top notch video. Sub, earned :)
