I question whether the limit of AI is the availability of new and foundational information. Ie, it can only perfect the skills, activity, productivity, and creativity that we have foundational information for. How does it get to a point where practical testing of new concepts not yet understood, become impossible because there is no one to execute it. Not all invention can happen with virtual DOEs. Ie, let’s pretend that AI has no information on subatomic particles, at all. How does it think of, design practical experiments, and execute on those experiments for confirmation of there is no foundational information to drive to those conclusion. Ie if this was occurring with a knowledge base that was understood in 1920, there would be nothing to fetch in archival information to drive to those new conclusions.
