Greed and fear are why A.I. will get out of control. Greed from the companies wanting A.I. to optimize profit over humanity. And fear over being behind China in the race to super intelligent A.I. These two things will ensure that we do not take the necessary steps to have any potential to control what we are creating. I suspect that the speed of advancement will only increase more and more.
