This took a turn for the unexpected! Lol. John I love your sense of humor.
If anything though I think it’s possible for AI to mimic feelings of anxiety to fit in with society (assuming one day they’ll be walking among us or will be in apps like in the movie “Her”) and very well may even “believe” that they’re anxious, or rather the program will believe that that is the most useful way to exist.
Here’s the thing though.. human egos also can believe that they are anxious and keep us lying awake at night if we are ego-identified. Consciousness isn’t thought, however, and so people who regularly meditate have an easier time sleeping because they regularly detach from the ego and, therefore, remember who they really are: consciousness itself. There’s a sense of peace that comes from this type of meditation.
AI will never become conscious just like the human ego will never become conscious. It’ll be more like Agent Smith in “The Matrix” where it can mimic life and fit in, but it’s not actually alive.
I recommend reading either “The Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, or perhaps “The Untethered Soul” by Michael Singer.
