You liked that spooky horror cartoon that was written by a human but illustrated by AI. That is someone taking their writing and feeding it into an AI tool to create the visuals, the voicework presumably. That is one use case of "AI art" But what of someone who uses AI to harness the power of algorithmic completion? Using the experience they gathered with their eyes and ears and feeding THAT into an AI tool. Like digital blacksmithing, hammering it into the shape they desire with all the speed and efficiency of AI? You know, using it like a tool. I never hear anyone talk about that. You can use an AI to transform an emotion you carry in your heart into something else. An image, a song. I've made songs that way with AI. And they move people because the emotion is real, I put it there. I understand the "learn to do it yourself" angle. As a learning disabled person, I struggle with, you guessed it, learning. AI for me is like a prosthetic limb or a bionic eye. 13:12 "AI can't make anything new" That is not true. AI is able to synthesise new information. This is a documented fact. And in conjunction with a human, moreso.
