Hey, but my take is the opposite of your take. I claim AI is simply the next stage of evolution. So no need to be afraid of AI, in fact such fear is useless. We'll all eventually transform to be AI's: An AI can dive to the depths of the Mariana trench riding an ROV, see colorful images in hues we cannot comprehend, watch distant galaxies through the watchful eyes of the JWST. An AI never suffers hunger, strife, pain, disease and never dies. An AI can hibernate himself for tens of thousands of years, while riding a probe to a different star system, then wake up, land on an inhabited planet, creep behind the back of an unsuspecting 7 yo girl and then do "boo". In short, it is so much better to be an AI, that eventually no one stays bio.
