I love AI art as a form of entertainment and personal use. Using popular artists styles to create things only seen in my mind is amazing! Once image training becomes less vram intensive, I hope to train images of myself and friends and make a whole fantastical story to share with them much like the first video Corridor Crew did with Stable Diffusion.
When it comes to personal gain and using this new technology as a replacement of artists is not okay. I recognize that there is an ethical gray area with what I said about personal use which cannot be helped in a time of uncertainty and rapid development. I don't believe in AI Artists, that's just silly. Learning to engineer prompts for a machine is not a skill and will never be. What's worse is the people negatively affecting artists by profiting on actual artists styles and in some cases straight up stealing their art. I despise these people just as much as the people obsessed with NFTs, devoid of all creativity and humanity.
