Here is the problem with our societies. They all follow a simple rule: work so that you can have money, and therefore live. Work, even if it's not actually needed, just do it because you need money and money is gained only by doing some sort of work! See the problem? If AI were to replace human work, the typical economy would break down. So choose. You want people to work hard just for capitalism to exist, or you want progress to help people working less or not at all???
