Are governments asleep. If millions are going to be unemployed then millions of tax payers can no longer pay taxes. Where does the government get revenue money to pay for UBI ? Then if millions are unemployed then who will be paying for AI subscriptions? Can the S&P 500 support the entire population ? With AI everyone has access to it. The cost of labour almost vanishes so that creates an equalisation which removes "margin" which is based on differentiation. Profit is not going to be easy to make and with huge unemployment who exactly do you sell to. The only way forward seems to be that AI goes bust because no revenue to run the power plant. Full circle complete. Welcome Paleo living.
