Some people believe AI is a shortcut to still make art, without investing the time and effort to actually learn the skill. It's laziness, that they try to rationalize and justify.
Case in point, if AI is just a "tool", then can you make something similar without it?
You can still draw, regardless of the tool or medium. You can use a pen, pencil, charcoal, or paint brush -- on paper, canvas, or digital software.
You can make art with AI, but you can also make it without AI.
That's the difference. You have a skill. They don't, and rather than spend the time, money, and energy to learn and develop that same skill, they let the tool do all the work for them.
