Steve Jobs was a terrible person but he does have one quote from his early days at Apple that still resonates with me: “the computer is the bicycle for the mind.” It was never meant to replace us but enable us to explore new ideas more quickly. And I feel that AI is the natural next step in this bicycle metaphor.
