None of the people who go to bat for AI generated content, or the detractors of it for that matter, seem to realize that there's a solid reason that it's generally a failure. Generative AI is _LAZY._ In both function and design. It's a dumb data-crunching model that has no understanding of what it is being trained on or producing, trying to get a result by throwing endless buckets of spaghetti at a wall until it comes out kinda looking like the Mona Lisa. Until an AI can fully dissect an image, identify objects and their shape in 3D and 2D space, identify what distinguishes a style, recognize anatomy and 'picture' what parts it cannot see in the image, properly simulate different materials both soft and hard, understand how light sources work and interact, and so so very much more... it will always be a failure that can only ever replicate what an artist does, and then only through the filter of an acid overdose.
