Exactly, I'm by no means a professional artist. I've been drawing for years and i still struggle a lot with perspective and specially backgrounds. I've stopped and thought about using A.I., trying to look for the appeal, as I do it as a hobby and don't even post online. But the mere thought of having something in my canvas that was not made by me, is dreadful. As you said, non artist will probably not understand. But what makes art fascinating is precisely the intention behind it. I don't want a filler fancy room in the background, I want every detail to tell a story, to say something about the ones who inhabit that place. Only us can understand the story behind the characters, places, settings we create, the reason why elements are depicted in this or that way. With no intention behind it it may look nice, better than anything I'd be able to ever create, but it lacks soul and meaning.
