This is very entertaining fiction because it feels like it could be based on a reality, like the paranormal genre, there's the added thrill of knowing it could be based on reality, future or current but whilst everyone is imagining creative man-ending scenarios the real threat is far more insidious and will take a bit longer, maybe a generation, the real danger is the fact that Ai is now passing our tests, writing our stories, creating our art, answering our questions and writing our code, slowly replacing human thinking and creativity...this is the real threat that we see happening and are doing nothing about.
