The best example I find that can provide to people who aren't artists, of why AI art is a problem to most of the artists, is the episode of gumball's whole identity and life is being replaced by a robot named Bobert in the earliest season of The amazing world of gumball.
Imagine a robot steals your whole life in a day and not a single person in your life can tell the difference.
