Weeeelll... we've seen now, how effective did drones become in the Ukrainian war. Luckily those are operated by pilots and not AI.
Now just for fun watch some reviews of Skydio or the latest DJI drones and simply check their abilities to navigate in space.
Imho, once the consumer drones are militarized, become access to some advanced connectivity and their AI is connected to the swarm, we'll all dive into some deepest shit we've ever seen...
