This is all rather scary .... but ... wrt. the 99% unemployment. That might be more complex than just looking at the number.
A society where 99% of humans are unemployed won't function. Not because those humans can't work. But because they can't contribute to demand.
What good would it do to have an AI being best at performing a job, if there are no humans capable of creating demand for that job? Without payed jobs for humans, who will buy the products the AIs make?
This would make the jobs them selves not needed. Not just the humans performing the jobs.
Without some sort of universal basic income such a society would collapse.
