I don't see AI reproducing artistry in any meaningful way even from a purely technological perspective. The way I think about it is always that there isn't anything that can't be expressed in a latent space. There are so many dimensions that more things can be represented than there were distinct concepts in human minds since the dawn of time. But that doesn't mean it is possible to reach that latent representation from a human interface. AI aren't creative, they do what you ask them to do. If you ask for something that doesn't exist, they do it, but the idea itself must come from somewhere and be communicated right. For an AI to express the same flare as a human artist would, there would need to be something that turns something expected into something unexpected, and I don't see that happening without a significant technological leap that we can't envision yet. Latent spaces are precise representations of vague ideas, it's falsely vague, exactness disguised by a billion parameters, it's currently unimaginable to have a vague representation and have it not confuse itself.
