Dunno, depends if he actually puts in work or if he's just queueing up the slot machine pulls. Getting AI to create random things is easy and they're even sometimes good. Getting it to specifically do something with a particular idea in mind is surprisingly frustrating. I think there's room for nuance since there is a pretty observable difference between "good" AI art and "bad" AI art.
I'll be honest, I don't see much of a difference between AI training on existing art and artists taking inspiration from other artists. IMO currently AI art should just be treated like counterfeits. If it's AI it should be unmistakably presented as such and any smoke and mirrors around its authenticity should be illegal.
