I am in Engineering/IT for 35 years. The end of coding has been predicted times before "you just design graphically what you need and the tool spews out the code" ... Well it was pretty crap and needed rework.. and maintaining your application in these design tools s* load of work 😂
So with "AI" I think it will become the AI bubble that will have to burst for investors.
Currently it is useful for certain tasks. I am in DevOps so freaking pile of different interfaces to talk to/code against. Copilot saves you some work having to dig it up (as search engines have become terribly ensh*tificated).
But better models need exponentially bigger data centers that use exponentially more power... And all this investment has to be recuperated..
It's going to hit a wall, sure about that. The bubble is going to burts in spectacular colors😢 Great video
