Nice talk but he admitted that he has a literal vested interest in Google and Gemini, admitted bias, which would also mean he's all about the "AI thinks for itself" bias. Obviously uncomfortable to call that out during the talk especially since the guest was very charismatic.
The talk was rife with quantum leaps in assumption. For example it went very quickly from "this is how neutral networks came to be via edge detection methods" to "oh yes it thinks like a person thinks and it's experience is just as subjective as your experiences are because of this one example with no philosophy framework provided whatsoever".
