Dark cloths, was not under the street light when she walked out, no chance in hell of prevention from the driver's perspective, autonomous or otherwise. If this video is any reflection of the conditions of the accident, I think a reasonable person would let this slide. Unlikely a human would have done any better. Very sad for the pedestrian and her family.
