If he would have used the ai as a means to generate an idea he has in his mind into visual reference material in which he then used to actually physically created a canvas painting , digital painting or any other form of art himself then i could support a copyright claim . But simply printing off an ai generated image and claiming it as a piece of art he created ,no. Ai can be a useful tool for people that struggle with moderate to severe levels of aphantasia.
