comparing Ai to digital art is kinda insane, both of those are still methods that a person uses to draw something rather than describe it and have something else draw it. the closet I can think of would be comparing it to photography, a way to make a copy of something. Though Photography very quickly grew beyond "still lifes but better and faster" into its own distinct art, so even that not a good comparison. Not unless we see some version of this technology that is actually a tool to be used in the process of creating art as opposed to its present state where it generates soulless knockoffs.
