I mean, Ai being used to train on countless of images is nothing special. Like the Ghibli Ai thing, it's more okay for a kid to learn to draw like Ghibli over years and years, but it's not okay to speed up the job for some slub at his computer because it is a fun thing, even if the love is the same. The problem could be said to arrive when "Artists lose jobs over this" but to me it won't affect anything as I have done commissioned artworks in the past, never really been happy with it, and I just don't care for that art. I even stopped making such commissions after an artist flat out refused to make the thing I paid for because they forgot. Not all artists are like that, but I'm also not going to keep spend money doing things that only empty my wallet at the end of the day. Want to be real about things? Go after the big companies using Ai art, for everyone else? It's helping them in a corpo world that is screwing us over. Somewhere along the line people forgot it's about "Poor vs rich".
