All technological revolutions up until now have replaced muscle power. These jobs have been replaced with new jobs that require more creative skills, as well as thinking and knowledge-skilled jobs. Now, with AI the creative jobs and jobs that previously required longer education and knowledge-based professions will disappear. What required 50 doctors or 50 lawyers to do in a set amount of time can be done by one doctor or lawer with help of AI in the same time. You can not educate yourself to be competitive with an existing doctor and an AI. The only jobs that will be safe for a while will be jobs that are not automated yet, and creative jobs that have an audience that wants to see a real person perform that creative job. people-to-people interaction jobs like sexworking or nursing jobs will stay for a while, until replaced with something that can not be distinguished from a real person. If you are a general handy man like a plummer you will still be in demand for some years to come. But eventually, all jobs will be replaced. Unless UBI is implemented soon all around the world, the human race as we know it will have a painful future.
