Without getting into the debate of the usefulness of AI, FT’s view on the value of a technology is completely narrowly focused on macro level financial profitability. And it only sees the continuous increase of this profitability as a proof of the value of any given tech. It’s ignoring any benefit that could be added to the workers’ work-life balance, and by extension their participation in other aspects of the society.
