The oil industry’s job cuts are not because of AI ! The job cuts in this industry is because the oil majors know that the petroleum age has ‘peaked’ and they are cutting back on CAPEX ( there are no more Saudi Arabia’s to be discovered), and in the USA the oil fracking industry has reached geological limits. The oil industry is an industry in decline.
