OK so... here's the problem. The governments can and should create some laws/regulations to protect their populations from the dangers. All good and fine but how do you do that effectively without letting the capitalists get around those regulations and put people at risk for their own profits? Well you get some independent industry consultants right? OK so who might that be in the AI space? Who would know a lot about AI and how to effectively mitigate risks within it and not be an industry shill? Who do you trust? hmm... Need someone that is not selling an AI product or service.
