ai will replace programmers but software architect and system designer will stick much longer. basically traditional software engineering roles will be obsolete new kind of software roles will emerge like application architect and AI manager so basically in the future every software engineer will be an AI manager and people and students will also abandoned this field in five years. So basically who is software engineer will survive because there will be very few new software engineers coming through.
