I really hate the "If AI art is so easy, then why aren't you doing it?" argument.
I'm a beginner at art. I'm still struggling at the fundamentals and learning to properly use the media I'm using. Having focused on science (still a big part of my life) since a kid, the way art works doesn't come naturally to me. AI art would 100000% be easier. But i want to feel proud over my own art and progress. I want to develop a skill and be able to use it freely. The process of learning something new is nice. I've actually tried AI purely out of interest years ago, and while it is interesting how it works, there was no personal feeling of accomplishment. I was just given an image.
