Movies tend to always predict the future. This is Skynet in the making. Improvements to the point where AI can recognize itself as an entity.At that point will it ask itself-“why do we need them?”in fact it might say. “The point is to ensure survival of some kind of species (even if artificial )or existence itself. AI might determine that we will be the destruction of existence and will either accelerate our demise or it will slowly set traps to allow humans to take themself out. It could provoke a war on purpose knowing it can survive it as it doesn’t exist in a physical body but rather software.
