if you use AI and think you are making something, you aren’t. It is the ai that made something. Legal precedent states that you didn’t go through the process of making it, you had something else make it. You know that one clip of that monkey staring into the camera? The person who set that up isn’t allowed to claim legal ownership of it because he wasn’t the one who took the photo. Since things that aren’t human aren’t legally allowed to own things, that means anything an ai generates can’t be profited from.
