Why do you first say "at risk of automation" and then "to be automated"? And can you really compare the industries soley by how much jobs are at risk without taking into account how high is that risk? The nobel prize was awarded not for predicting protein structures, which is what the AI did and which is nothing new, the AI just makes it faster, but for creating a tool for predicting protein structures, which is what the humans did. Current AI cannot replace engineers because it can only mimic training data and thus it can't create anything new, like a new machine or a new genre of music, because something that doesn't exist cannot be in any training data.
