I have two Tesla's, and I've had self driving trials several times. Last January after adding a Model Y, I was giving another free trial. The first turn into traffic, left on a 4 lane road, it basically tried to kill me and again, a few miles later it tried to turn into a concrete road divider lining an off-ramp, then soon thereafter it entered one of two left turning lanes while needing to go straight, it must have had a seizure, so I took over again. It was not worth the electrons in its circuit. (To me) However, last week, while having the main battery replaced, I had another trial for a few days and I was very impressed with it driving a 25 mile commute several times with no serious interventions. (except for it trying to use the HOV lane, which is no longer permitted with EV's without at least 2 persons ) Nevertheless, I think you have to be a better driver than the Tesla or you will fail to save it and yourself from its errors at critical moments. For that, it's not worth much and in China they have competitive systems that are free with the purchase of the cars and there are far better cars for significantly less money. The US can not compete with China anymore because fossil fuel companies convinced Americans not to buy EV's, dooming our Car industry yet again and ceding technology wins to China. Go go MAGA morons.
