With regard to hype cycle, it depends on which AI wave you are looking at.
In my opinion:
The first wave started more than 50 years ago when AI was conceptualised. We are stepping off scipe of enlightment and getting on to plateau of productivity.
If you look at GenAI wave, we are at the peak of inflated expectation.
