Lol, this video is deliberately avoiding the key point and misleading viewers. The layoffs work and the data of these companies actually strongly supports it. Instead of being front end or back end engineers, engineers are now full stack developers and produce code faster. AI is an enabler not a replacer - so nothing went horribly wrong (if so then what?) - the layoffs have made larger companies more profitable and faster, exactly what they are incentivized to do to maximize shareholder value
