In my opinion, ai art is for uncreative people who are spiteful of other people having a skill honed over years of practice. Artists have used assets for years to make a full product to show off their talent. Like a singer making a cover of a song so they can show off their singing of a familiar song to show what they can bring to the table. A composer using generated assets like Vocaloid to show off their music composition with a voice when they don't have anyone to sing for them. An artist that is not great at perspective, so they use a 3d model to get the basic shapes right before they continue with the rest of the piece. All of these are to suppliment their own work to show off what they can do and be proud of. Then AI chuds write a prompt and get an end result that has no thought or feeling put into it. Instant gratification with no work nor skill.
